Would you like to be part of a team of patients helping to improve services at the surgery? Nevells Road surgery has a thriving group, which meets quarterly in order to discuss topics of interest to all members of the practice. Our patient participation group is made up of a number of volunteer patients, one of the GP’s and a member of the practice team.
Every surgery in the UK has a statutory responsibility to run a patient group. The National Association of Patient Participation calls these groups “ a unique partnership between patients, GPs and their practice which is essential to and results in high quality and responsive care”
However, we know that not everyone can attend our meetings, so if you are enthusiastic but know your participation can only be virtual – please don’t be deterred: sign up anyway and get involved at a distance, if you agree, fill in our joining form.
If you would like to find out more, email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have helped with issues such as patient surveys, services for carers, the appointments system and the website. You can view and download our Code of Conduct and quarterly newsletters.
You can take part by email only, or you can come to meetings held in the surgery every three months. The meetings are usually 6.30pm to 7.30pm on the first Mondays in January, April, July and October.
Meetings for this year will be held on 8th April, 8th July and 14th October (there is always the possibility of extra dates being slotted in, so if you are interested do watch the dates)
We look forward to hearing from you!
